Greetings!
KainCon this year will be held September 28th through the 30th. I believe that is the same weekend as the Glen Echo picnic that month, but it did not cause any problems when I did this last year (and I will be at the picnic too).
The location KainCon is held is at my house out in Nokesville Virginia. Nokesville is close to Manassas, Gainesville, and Woodbridge (Where Potomac Mills mall is located). It is a 3000 square foot 2 level house with plenty of room for socializing, gaming (console, board/card game and LAN gaming), and drawing. We also have a nice 8’ ¾” slate pool table and a huge deck.
What's a "KainCon"?
KainCon is a mostly gaming oriented get together. Though, it's not limited to gaming by any means. It's intended as a "get away" for people to socialize and have fun. For more on the history of KainCon, please visit the "About" section on the KainCon homepage.

Is there a registration fee?
Yes, 25$ for the entire weekend. 10$ if you only plan to show up for a day. The registration fee goes towards toiletries used up over that weekend, the huge amount of soda and snacks I buy before the start of the Con, fuel money for carting people around that need it, etc. KainCon is not out to make a profit, but I need some income to help afford to keep doing it each year. You can also pre-register online from the web page.
Some things not set in stone yet, is a possibility of trying to have an AD&D/Ironclaw RPG happen here over the weekend for those interested. But I do not know how many would have interest or could DM such a thing. We used to do that at KainCon for many years, but when I moved out of my parent’s house where it used to be held we haven’t done it since. If you have any suggestions or want to talk more about KainCon on any questions or concerns you have, check out the forums on the web page.
My house is a good size, but I can’t have every single person crash here… Besides space to park everyone’s vehicles being a hassle, finding enough floor/couch space for everyone and have room for my roommates to get around is tricky heh. Soon I plan to have info for the nearby hotels in the area on the KainCon page.
